KØS Sejlsport

Welcome to CIS --- the International Department of the KØS Sejlsport!

KØS Sejlsport is a sailing club for young people between the ages of 8 and 15.

We offer you the opportunity to sail in the Optimist dinghy , the Feva boat and the Yngling yacht (three-persons keel-boat).

 

The spring sailing season 2008 starts on April 16th and ends on june 13th.

The fall sailing season 2008 starts on August 22nd and ends on September 26th.

 

The membership fee is 700 DKR per year both for Optimist-sailors and Yngling-sailors.

The fee is reduced to 350 DKR if you join us in the fall.
Optimist

The Optimist sailors meet down at the boat yard in Svanemøllen every Friday at 4 pm.

The Optimists have their first day of sailing this year on May 9.

 

This year's summer camp is held from July 1st to July 7th. All optimist sailors are welcome. The camp is held in the city of Vordingborg. It is a week of fun, sun, playing on land and on sea and it is a great way to get good at sailing in a very short time. The price this year is 1300 DKR. An invitation will soon be available in English. If any of the parents are willing to spend a week in Vordingborg to help out with cooking and keeping an eye on the kids, please contact Jens Bech Skiveren (bech.skiveren@mail.tele.dk). 
Yngling

The Yngling sailors have a choice between three days of sailing: Monday, Wednesday or Thursday.

The Yngling sailors are assigned to a team of three, whom they will be sailing with for one season at a time. They meet down at the harbour at 5.30 pm.

 

The Yngling sailors have a two week summer-trip from July 21st to August 4th. It has not yet been decided where they are going this year, but they always go somewhere in Denmark or Sweden. The price of this wonderful trip is 1200 DKR for full two weeks, but if you don't want to be there both weeks, the price is app. 100 DKR per day. You can sign up in the Danish part of the Website untill June 21st. It's under "Ungdom". Then you click "Tilmelding". Then there's a tab called "Sommertur".

We can only recommend going on the summer-trip. It's a lot of fun, and you can learn to sail really quick.
